Yoshiyuki Tanaka received his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Yamaguchi University in 1995, and his M.E. and Ph. D (Dr. of Eng.) degrees in Information Engineering from Hiroshima University in 1997 and 2001, respectively. He was a Research Associate (Assistant Professor) with Hiroshima City University from 2001 to 2002, and an Assistant Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering at Hiroshima University from 2002 to 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering at Nagasaki University. His research interests include human factors, biomechanics, neuroscience, robotics with applications to highly-advanced human-machine/robot systems. He is a member of IEEE (RAS, SMC, EMB, ITS), the Robotics Society of Japan (RSJ), the Society of Instrumentation and Control Engineers in Japan (SICE), the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), and the Japan Ergonomics Society (JES).
